Carpentry, kitchens and building work in Fakenham

The full range. Kitchens and fitted furniture, media walls, first and second fix, extensions, cart lodges and renovations. It is all carpentry led, so you are not handing the job between trades halfway through.

Fakenham has a Georgian market place with brick and flint property and modern development beyond it. That is why we look before we quote. The difference between an easy fit and a slow one is usually invisible in a photograph.

Plots in Fakenham are typical market town plots, tight through the centre. It matters most for extensions and cart lodges: what the plot allows sets the shape of the project before a designer is involved.

Brick and flint walls are rarely flat, and there are a lot of them here. It is not a problem, but it is the thing most worth knowing before you fix a design or a budget.

At about 32 miles north of Brandon, Fakenham is close to as far out as we go. Swaffham, Watton and Downham Market are all closer to us, so whether a job here works comes down to its size rather than its postcode.

North Norfolk District Council. That matters as soon as a project involves a structural alteration or anything outside the existing footprint, because the application and the inspections go through them. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

Matt or Victor, every time. The person quoting the job is the person accountable for it afterwards.

Not reliably, no. Durations quoted before anyone has looked are guesses, and older property is exactly where they go wrong. We would rather give you a real answer after the visit than a comfortable one before it.

Either call 07539 278705 or use the enquiry form and tell us roughly what you have in mind. We come out and look at the property, because almost nothing in this trade can be priced properly from a photograph. The quote is free and there is no obligation.

At roughly 32 miles it sits outside our core area, so it depends on the size of the job. For a full project the travel is usually worth it for both of us. For a small one day job it honestly is not, and we would rather say so than quote a price that is mostly driving.
