Wardrobes built to your room in Fakenham

At about 32 miles north of Brandon, Fakenham is close to as far out as we go. We do take work on in this part of Norfolk, and at this distance we would rather tell you straight away whether your job is worth the journey.

Fakenham falls under North Norfolk District Council. That matters as soon as a project involves a structural alteration or anything outside the existing footprint, because the application and the inspections go through them. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

What we are fitting into matters more than what we are fitting. Fakenham has a Georgian market place with brick and flint property and modern development beyond it. None of that shows in a price list, which is why we come and look first. We price from the property, never from a template.

At roughly 32 miles it is outside our core area, so it depends on the size of the job. For a full wardrobe project the travel is usually worth it for both of us. For a small one day job it honestly is not, and we would rather tell you that than quote a price that reflects the driving.

Plots in Fakenham are typical market town plots, tight through the centre. Inside work does not depend on the plot, although access, parking and somewhere to cut timber all come down to it.

Brick and flint walls are rarely flat, and there are a lot of them here. It seldom changes fitted joinery itself, but it can change what is behind it, and that is where surprises come from.

That is the council's decision rather than ours, and it turns on the property and the exact work. A listed house, or a job that moves a structural wall, is where it is most worth asking before anything is booked. For a property in Fakenham the authority that decides is North Norfolk District Council, and we will tell you plainly what we think before you contact them.

Yes. The nearest other towns on our list to Fakenham are Swaffham, Watton, Downham Market, Attleborough and Thetford Forest, and the villages in between are covered as well. Each of those has its own page for fitted wardrobe work, linked further down this page.

Yes. It most often runs alongside second fix carpentry, media wall work and renovation work, and because one team does the carpentry throughout there is no gap between trades. At about 32 miles from our base, putting the work into one programme also means one run of travel instead of several.

Call 07539 278705 or send the enquiry form with a line about the job. At roughly 32 miles away we will talk the job through by phone first, so neither of us makes a wasted trip. The quote costs nothing.
