Kitchen Fitting
Kitchens fitted properly, whoever supplied them, with the joinery around them finished to match.
Thetford Forest, Norfolk and Suffolk
V&M Home Extensions cover Thetford Forest from a base in Brandon, with the forest villages immediately around us. We fit kitchens, build fitted wardrobes and media walls, carry out first and second fix carpentry, and take on extensions, cart lodges and renovations. Planning and building control here sit with West Suffolk Council, Breckland Council and the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.

About the area
The forest villages sit immediately around our base, so this is effectively local work for us.
The area straddles the county boundary, and it is more divided than that: Elveden and Santon Downham are in Suffolk under West Suffolk Council, Mundford and Weeting are in Norfolk under Breckland, and Hockwold cum Wilton, Northwold and Methwold are in Norfolk under King's Lynn and West Norfolk, so two properties a few minutes apart can answer to different planning authorities.
Plots here tend to be larger and more rural, which is what makes cart lodges and outbuildings practical in the forest villages in a way they are not on a tight town plot.
Scattered village and estate cottages, former forestry and estate housing, and individual properties on larger rural plots. Ground conditions vary across the Brecks, which is a real consideration for anything with a foundation.
The area includes Santon Downham, Elveden, Mundford, Weeting, Hockwold cum Wilton, Lynford, Croxton, Ickburgh, Northwold, Methwold and the smaller settlements between them.
What we do here
All eight services are available across the area. The ones below link through to the detail.
Kitchens fitted properly, whoever supplied them, with the joinery around them finished to match.
Wardrobes built to the actual room, so alcoves, chimney breasts and sloping ceilings stop being wasted space.
A built in wall for the television, the fire and the cables, made as joinery rather than bought as furniture.
The structural timber work behind the plaster: joists, studwork, roof timbers and linings, set out square.
The joinery you actually see: doors hung true, skirting and architrave mitred tight, staircases and finishing work.
Single storey extensions built and fitted out by one team, structure through to the joinery inside.
Timber framed cart lodges built to suit the plot, in the East Anglian tradition rather than from a catalogue.
Carpentry led refurbishment of the house you already have, from reworking layouts to finishing the joinery.
