Fitted storage and wardrobes in Haverhill

At about 30 miles south of Brandon, Haverhill is close to as far out as we go. It is a longer trip than Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket, and we do make it, for a project that justifies the travel rather than for an hour's work.

Haverhill falls under West Suffolk Council. They are who the application goes to and who signs the work off, so it is worth knowing before a design is fixed. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

Haverhill is extensive overspill era estate housing wrapped around a much smaller older core. Fitted wardrobe work is shaped by that more than by anything we bring to it. None of that shows in a price list, which is why we come and look first. We price from the property, never from a template.

At roughly 30 miles it is outside our core area, so it depends on the size of the job. For a full wardrobe project the travel is usually worth it for both of us. For a small one day job it honestly is not, and we would rather tell you that than quote a price that reflects the driving.

The expansion era plots in Haverhill are consistent and reasonably sized. Inside work does not depend on the plot, although access, parking and somewhere to cut timber all come down to it.

Haverhill is a fair distance out, and its stock has the same layout problems as Thetford. Inside the house that rarely stops anything, but it is worth knowing about when the work touches a wall, a floor or anything structural.

We do not make that call, the council does. For fitted work inside the house it is worth checking if the property is listed or if a wall is coming out, and we will tell you which of those applies once we have seen it. For a property in Haverhill the authority that decides is West Suffolk Council, and we will tell you plainly what we think before you contact them.

Yes. The nearest other towns on our list to Haverhill are Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Saffron Walden, Stowmarket and Royston, and the villages in between are covered as well. If you are not sure which counts as nearest, give us the village or postcode on the enquiry form.

Yes. It most often runs alongside second fix carpentry, media wall work and renovation work, and because one team does the carpentry throughout there is no gap between trades. At about 30 miles from our base, putting the work into one programme also means one run of travel instead of several.

Call 07539 278705 or send the enquiry form with a line about the job. At roughly 30 miles away we will talk the job through by phone first, so neither of us makes a wasted trip. The quote costs nothing.
