Extensions
V&M Home Extensions build single storey home extensions across the Norfolk and Suffolk border, working from a base in Brandon. We carry out the structural carpentry and the build, coordinate the trades on site, and fit out the inside, including the kitchen or joinery that goes into the new space.

The work
What makes an extension project stressful is rarely the building work. It is the handovers. The builder finishes and leaves, and then there is a gap before the kitchen fitter, and another before the carpenter, and each one arrives to find something the last one did not allow for.
V&M work the other way round. We are carpenters who build, so the same team that forms the opening and puts the roof on is the team that hangs the doors and fits the kitchen inside it. Fewer handovers means fewer gaps, and it means the person who built the wall is the person fitting the units to it.
Real job
A structural opening formed through a brick and block wall on adjustable props, then the completed room plastered, decorated, carpeted and fitted with a new window.

Questions
Straight answers. Where something depends on your property, we say so rather than guessing.
No. Drawings and structural calculations come from an architect or structural engineer and we build to them. We are happy to work alongside whoever you appoint, and we can talk through what is buildable before you commit to a design, which often saves money at the drawing stage.
Where we work
