Feltwell extensions, built and fitted out by one team

Feltwell is roughly 6 miles up the road from us. Feltwell, Brandon and Lakenheath and the villages around them all sit inside our core area.

Feltwell falls under Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Anything structural, or anything that changes the footprint, is decided and inspected by them rather than by us. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

For extension work the site matters more than the house. Plots in Feltwell are generous for a village of this size. Feltwell sits on fen edge ground, which behaves quite differently from the sand a few miles east. It is the difference between a job that runs to plan and one that needs scribing to every surface. We price from the property, never from a template.

At about 6 miles from our base, getting out to measure up is straightforward rather than something we have to schedule weeks ahead. Call or send the enquiry form and we will arrange a time that suits you. The quote costs nothing.

Feltwell is older brick and flint property with later infill between it. The existing house sets how a new structure has to meet it, from roof pitch to brick or boarding, so the build looks as though it belongs.

Feltwell sits on fen edge ground, which behaves quite differently from the sand a few miles east. It matters most on new structures, where it can change the foundations, the consent needed, or both.

It depends on the size and position of the work and on the property, and the decision belongs to the council rather than to us. Listed buildings and conservation areas are where it is most worth checking early. In Feltwell that means Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. If there is any doubt we would rather you check with them before work is booked than after.

Yes. The nearest other towns on our list to Feltwell are Brandon, Lakenheath, Downham Market, Thetford Forest and Swaffham, and the villages in between are covered as well. If you are not sure which counts as nearest, give us the village or postcode on the enquiry form.

Yes. It most often runs alongside first fix carpentry, kitchen fitting and renovation work, and because one team does the carpentry throughout there is no gap between trades. At about 6 miles from our base, putting the work into one programme also means one run of travel instead of several.
