Kitchen fitting in Long Stratton, done by carpenters

Long Stratton is roughly 33 miles east of Brandon, right at the limit of our range. Diss, Wymondham and Attleborough are all closer to us than Long Stratton, which sits at the outer end of the area we cover, so it comes down to the size of the job rather than the postcode.

Long Stratton falls under South Norfolk Council. They are who the application goes to and who signs the work off, so it is worth knowing before a design is fixed. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

Long Stratton has period property along the old road with modern development set behind it. It sets what kitchen fitting is dealing with before anyone picks up a tape. That is what decides how much of a job is straightforward and how much is patient work against what is actually there. We price from the property, never from a template.

At roughly 33 miles it is outside our core area, so it depends on the size of the job. For a full kitchen fit the travel is usually worth it for both of us. For a small one day job it honestly is not, and we would rather tell you that than quote a price that reflects the driving.

Plots in Long Stratton run linear along the main road, with estate plots behind. For work inside the house the plot matters less than it does for building work, but it still decides where the van, the deliveries and any skip can go.

Long Stratton is a fair distance out and is a large village rather than a town. It seldom changes fitted joinery itself, but it can change what is behind it, and that is where surprises come from.

We do not make that call, the council does. For fitted work inside the house it is worth checking if the property is listed or if a wall is coming out, and we will tell you which of those applies once we have seen it. In Long Stratton that means South Norfolk Council. If there is any doubt we would rather you check with them before work is booked than after.

Yes. The nearest other towns on our list to Long Stratton are Diss, Wymondham, Attleborough, Thetford and Stowmarket, and the villages in between are covered as well. If your address sits between two of them, tell us the village and we will tell you straight away whether it works.

Yes. It most often runs alongside second fix carpentry, extension work and renovation work, and because one team does the carpentry throughout there is no gap between trades. At about 33 miles from our base, putting the work into one programme also means one run of travel instead of several.

Call 07539 278705 or send the enquiry form with a line about the job. At roughly 33 miles away we will talk the job through by phone first, so neither of us makes a wasted trip. The quote costs nothing.
