Kitchen fitters in Huntingdon

At about 36 miles west of Brandon, Huntingdon is close to as far out as we go. We do take work on in this part of Cambridgeshire, and at this distance we would rather tell you straight away whether your job is worth the journey.

Huntingdon falls under Huntingdonshire District Council. They are who the application goes to and who signs the work off, so it is worth knowing before a design is fixed. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

Huntingdon has a Georgian market town centre on the Great Ouse, ringed by extensive postwar and modern development. That is the starting point, not the detail. That is what decides how much of a job is straightforward and how much is patient work against what is actually there. We price from the property, never from a template.

At roughly 36 miles it is outside our core area, so it depends on the size of the job. For a full kitchen fit the travel is usually worth it for both of us. For a small one day job it honestly is not, and we would rather tell you that than quote a price that reflects the driving.

Postwar estate plots dominate Huntingdon. Inside work does not depend on the plot, although access, parking and somewhere to cut timber all come down to it.

Huntingdon is far enough out that only larger projects make sense for us. Inside the house that rarely stops anything, but it is worth knowing about when the work touches a wall, a floor or anything structural.

We do not make that call, the council does. For fitted work inside the house it is worth checking if the property is listed or if a wall is coming out, and we will tell you which of those applies once we have seen it. In Huntingdon that means Huntingdonshire District Council. If there is any doubt we would rather you check with them before work is booked than after.

Yes. The nearest other towns on our list to Huntingdon are Ely, March, Soham, Royston and Newmarket, and the villages in between are covered as well. If you are not sure which counts as nearest, give us the village or postcode on the enquiry form.

Yes. It most often runs alongside second fix carpentry, extension work and renovation work, and because one team does the carpentry throughout there is no gap between trades. At about 36 miles from our base, putting the work into one programme also means one run of travel instead of several.

Call 07539 278705 or send the enquiry form with a line about the job. At roughly 36 miles away we will talk the job through by phone first, so neither of us makes a wasted trip. The quote costs nothing.
